To promote the game of lacrosse and teach sportsmanship, teamwork, and a will to win.

Welcome to Bellevue Wolverines Girls Lacrosse!

Welcome to the Bellevue Wolverines Girls Lacrosse program! The mission of our program is two fold: first, we promote the game of lacrosse to girls from 1st through 12th grade living or attending school in the Bellevue High School (WA) attendance area; second, through lacrosse we teach those girls sportsmanship, teamwork and a will to win.

Bellevue Wolverine Girls Lacrosse includes the following teams: a 1st and 2nd Grade "Intro to Lacrosse" program and two 3rd/4th Grade teams in the Elementary Division, two 5th/6th Grade teams and two 7th/8th Grade teams in the Middle School Division, and Junior Varsity and Varsity teams in the High School Division. While we have the support of the Bellevue High School Athletic Director and follow Bellevue School District policies, we are not a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association high school sport but rather a “club” sport. This means a parent led board and coaches are responsible for the program at all levels, including high school.

The official season for both youth and high school starts in late February and ends in mid-May for high school and in late May for youth. No activities are scheduled during Bellevue School District's Spring Break, Mother's Day or Memorial Day weekend.

Sammy Jo Tracy is coming to Bellevue and is hoping to work with you. Sammy Jo graduated from North Carolina in 2017 as the holder of several school draw-control records, helping the Tar Heels win two NCAA championships during her tenure in Chapel Hill.

The two-time All-American honed her craft in the midfield circle, to the point of joining U.S. men’s team faceoff midfielder Greg Gurenlian’s company, Faceoff Academy, as the head of its counterpart for the women’s game, Draw Control Academy.

Possession time comes at a premium in lacrosse, as partially evidenced by the Upstate Pride using its first-round pick in the inaugural Women’s Professional Lacrosse League draft on Tracy. She’s an assistant coach at Arizona State.

Tracy hosted an educational clinic on draws at the 2018 US Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon), and now we have partnered to bring her to our area.

Two Great Opportunities –

9-10:30am – Stickwork, Draw Technique, Circle Play and Everything that you need to know to MASTER the DRAW ($75 per player) – Register HERE

11-12:30pm – Shooting and Stickwork ($75 per player) – Register HERE

This is currently open to grades 9 – 12 and limited to 20 players. We would love to have each session filled with our Bellevue players.
